Landscape Combines

The interior of Iceland is made visible through geothermal activity, eruptions, and lava flow. The result imparts a dynamic texture to the landscape. In these images, I have digitally manipulated source images of water, ice, and lava, layering them into combinations that invite contemplation on the delicate relationship between opposing forces in nature, reminding us of the delicate equilibrium that exists in the world around us.
